Gluten Free Haystack Snacks

I enjoyed these in my younger days before my wheat sensitivity hit. When I came across gluten free pretzel sticks I put two and two together for a pretty darn close replica. I think I personally, would have still preferred the traditional chow mien noodles for their milder crunch. But these were a great alternative, especially if you like that extra crunch and a hint of salt from the pretzels.

I like to keep it simple with just the three ingredients, but you could always change the type of chocolate you use for a different flavor, or add your favorite nut/seed/candy to the mix. Whatever you add, you’ll want to subtract from the pretzels.

Instructions
  1. Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in either a microwave or double broiler pan.
  2. Once melted pour in 2 cups of the pretzel sticks. Add more pretzels as needed if there's excess chocolate/peanut mix pooling at the bottom of the pan.
  3. On a cookie sheet lined with tin foil, scoop out small spoonfuls of the mix onto the pan. They can be as big or small as you like.
  4. Allow to cool completely until set, or stick into the fridge for 5-10 minutes to speed the process.
  5. Enjoy right away, or store in a container or bag in the fridge.
