Healthy Granola Cereal Recipe
I love this recipe. It's works great as cereal, and as an addition to your yogurt, or as a trail mix.

Instructions
  1. In a medium to large sized bowl add your rolled oats, nuts, and seeds together. Set aside. You could add your dried fruit too but I like to hold off and make sure the oats and nuts get coated with the honey mixture first.
  2. In a small saucepan, add your honey, butter, salt, cinnamon, & vanilla and heat on very low heat, stirring occasionally. Your just trying to melt the butter and make the honey more fluid so that it'll mix into the oats/nuts more easily.
  3. Once butter is melted, remove from the heat and pour mixture into your oats and nuts and stir until everything is fully coated in the honey mixture. Add your dried fruit and mix until well combined.
  4. Spoon mixture out onto a cookie sheet and spread out evenly. I keep it loose, but flattening it may help give you chunkier granola.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes (I like to stir half way through).
  6. Allow to cool 45 min to overnight. Again if you want it chunky it'll help allowing it to cool completely before stirring it up. Once cooled you can add your chocolate chips if you want them.
  7. Enjoy it as cereal, add it to your yogurt, or just snack on it by itself. Store the granola in an airtight container at room temperature for 1 to 2 weeks, or in a sealed freezer bag in the freezer for up to 3 months.
